No Information on Filing for 20,000 FY 2005 H-1B Visas
Mar 28 2005
Despite legislation by the U.S. Congress effectively adding an additional 20,000 numbers to the H-1B cap for fiscal year 2005, there is still no news about when the USCIS will begin accepting these applications.
However, the American Immigration Lawyers Association reported that they have learned that the USCIS undercounted H-1B's for 2005such that at least 10,000 more than the 65,000 quota were allocated. (Posted on AILA InfoNet at Doc. No. 05032860 (Mar. 28, 2005)).
