Today the USCIS launched their new website.  You can find it at www.uscis.gov.  The new site offers an improvement over the old site in terms of ease of navigation.    It also allows customers to register their information and their case number, and to then receive text messages to their cell phone when their case is updated.  Furthermore, the case status update offers an improvement by breaking down the case processing into different stages, with descriptions of each stage.
